Kelsey Howard Artist Biography 

Kelsey Howard is a North Carolina-based artist. She earned a bachelor's degree in studio art with a minor in biology from Elon University, then later went to UNC-Greensboro to become a registered nurse. She balanced life between nursing and making art for several years before shifting to pursue art full-time. 

Statement

My work typically focuses on using bright colors while playing with light and shadow and fun accessories. I’m always looking for interesting poses and how I can play with faces in different ways. I want my work to have a sense of energy that pulls you into each piece. I love creating wild colorful women who are imperfect but beautiful. They inspire me to be brave and not worry about being perfect.
