Ethan Patrick Sherman lives and works between Philadelphia, PA and Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad de Mexico, Estado de Mexico. His work encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and sometimes social practice. His life and practice are influenced by architecture, design, Magical Realism, the work of Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto Bolaño, Agnes Martin, Trevor Paglen, Dove Allouche, Hector Esrawe, Susan Sontag, Sam Moyer and Neal Stephenson. He studied Printmaking and Sculpture at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
