Jin Chyung is an artist with a passion for painting and a background in graphic design. She enjoys working with mixed media including acrylic, gouache, oil, and collage. Living in New England, she is influenced by the changes of the seasons, diverse landscape, and flora. In her recent work, Jin has explored the physical nature of paint, brushstrokes, drips, and lines, while experimenting with color to capture a moment in time and create a sense of place. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jin has shown in both juried and invitational exhibitions across the greater Boston area.
