Michael Carini Artist Biography

Michael Carini received his artistic training in Los Angeles, studying at Loyola Marymount University while simultaneously serving as an apprentice under respected artists Jane Brucker and Roland Reiss. Graduating at the top of his class with honors including the Scholar of Distinction Award in Painting, Carini returned to his hometown in San Diego, where he currently maintains his studio. With over 100 exhibitions nationally and internationally, he has received over a dozen major awards and was named Emerging Artist Of The Year by Art Design Consultants. Carini's art can be found all over the world in the collections of celebrities, businesses, and major collectors.

I capture the moments between the breaths and the echos of the soul.

My creative visions play with your senses and illuminate the human condition as I delve into the uncensored depths of my mind and invite you to catch a glimpse of the other side. As every story has a past, present, and future, I capture segmentations of energetic imagery interacting and breathing through the boundlessness of space and time...the moments between the breaths...the echos of the soul.

Transmuting my medium through a poetically alchemical process based upon the principles of equivalent exchange, a process I call Acrylic Alchemy, it is my hope that you will completely lose yourself within these labyrinthine experiences, only to discover a new sense of self and emerge reborn. Pain to purpose and essence of energy, I create portals to a safe place, a better place...my own reality.
